The perfect cure…. for cold?

Ah! I’ve been struck down by the infamous summer cold.

Tossing and turning in my fevered state, I dreamt of a strange figure walking towards me in a wind-swept desert. It was a shaman. Playing his flute, he pointed to a strange plant growing by his side: a chilli plant.
“You eat chilli, you get well,” he said.

Well… it would have been nice to have been “visited” by a shaman in my dreams, but no such luck.
In reality, I was making a cup of tea when I spied my chilli plant on the window sill, and thought that it would be a good time to test out the power of the chilli.

And here he is, just before he was plucked, cleaned and consumed with a steak and salad.
I’m now waiting for the effects to kick in!
Oooooooooohhhh nice and hot!

We’d waited nearly two years for them to grow. Last year the plant was fully grown, but no harvest.

This year we were surprised when the first ones started sprouting.

Of course, in the two year period, the card describing the type of chilli had mysteriously disappeared; however, a quick search came up with this:

Thai Pumpkin (Capsicum annuum) Origins Thailand (Seeds – Sea Spring Seeds)

Hope it does the trick.
